NUTRITION –  3 GUIDING PRINCIPLES

1 – A fresh new approach
Diet dogma ends here. Diets and portion control assume that we need a strict set of rules to know what to do, based on the assumption that willpower is key. We’re here to tell you that it’s simply untrue… this dull, restrictive way of eating is fundamentally unsustainable. Common sense tells us that punishment is not the path to balance! What we really want is harmony. Your Nutrition & Wellness Coach will focus on guiding you in taking simple steps to create a gentle, profound and lasting shift.

2 – Bio-individuality
The concept of bio-individuality is that each person has their own food and lifestyle needs. We’re all different! So, when the ‘experts’ say, “dairy is good for you” or “fat is unhealthy,” it doesn’t apply to everyone. One person’s food is another person’s poison. Working on the principle of bio-individuality, your Nutrition & Wellness Coach will support you in making positive changes that are based on your unique needs, lifestyle, personal preferences, and background. Instead of prescribing one fix for all people, this is a personalized, holistic approach that is based on your needs.

3 – Everything is food
We are nourished not only by food, but by other factors in our lives as well. Since this is a holistic approach to health and wellness, we’ll look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole. When these “primary foods” are balanced, what you eat becomes secondary.
